Josefina needed her school set to go with her school dress.....It consists of a book to write in, quille pen, a bag to hold her lunch, napkin to spread on the grand, 2 flour tortilla's, a squash, onions garlic and a plum, all food she would have eaten in the early 1800's in New Mexico!!!!

Josefina....Modern Day

I have had lots of people ask me where I get my dolls, and if I would sell any.....so I have decided to put some up on Ebay.  After a while...you end up with just too many girls....This is a Josefina I got in a lot of 4 dolls off of Ebay...they all needed tons of work.....She has been nicely cleaned up and since her hair was chopped...I moved the part to one side, just a bit, and shortened it, She is now a modern gal.  Eventually, I want to make sets of undergarments for them...I hate seeing them nude...but wanted to get some up on my store for the holidays.  You can see her at:
Working on cleaning up a Kit...just restrung her legs, and will be doing her arms next....che is all cleaned up, and hair is good, so she should be up soon!!!!

I found the perfect pattern for Caroline's quilt....bought the fabric...cut the fabric...only to find that the dimensions she gave were off....big-time.  So I had to re-figure some of the quilt...it is nothing like the way it should have been, but I like the way it came out!

New Line...Girls Going Green

Those that know me know I'm a bit of a horder....I love fabric...ribbon...buttons, you name it....and have amassed LOTS....I have been working to organize and clean out my studio, and decided I need to tap into some of this wonderful STUFF.  So my newest line was conceived....Girls Going Green....in an attempt to Reduse, Re-use and Recycle.  I also love saving articles of clothing that either were never worn or are just perfect vintage!!!!  My first outfit is a Land's End Golf shirt my hubby got that was a size too big...and a color he hates....so it was perfect to save for this.  The jeans are a pair of my sons' that I loved the way they wore, but he outgrew them.  Kirsen always loves being the first to model a new line!!!!  She looks GREAT!!!!

It was Addy's turn to model for my Downton Abbey line......I had the perfect outfit for her to try on.....White blouse with lace trim on the neck, sleeves and front. Pretty blue skirt, with trim at the hem, and matching cropped jacket. Over it all is a vest type arrangement that I found while looking at fashion for the Victorian lady. Blouse and Skirt made using 1896 Susan B. Anthony Pattern by Flossie Potter Patterns on Pixie Faire.See more at www.etsy.com/shop/prairiewindgirls

Julie....a 70's Kinda Gal!!!!

Kaya's Meet Accessories....So Cute

I made Kaya's meet outfit....but it really needed something....so we made her Meet Accessories to go with it. Kaya’s bag and belt pouch hold food and other treasures. She might have woven them using cord dyed with berries, wildflowers, and mosses—the same dyes that would have colored the porcupine quills in her pretty necklace.  Now she looks a little more finished!!!!

Felicity is busy working today!!!!!

Oh, how Felicity hated to help with housework! But when she did she wore a striped gown of hand-loomed cotton so she didn’t spoil her good clothes. Knot her kerchief around her neck, or simply tuck it into her bodice as colonial girls did. Tie her apron around her waist, and don’t forget her ruffled mob cap—a must for dusty chores!  She even has a sample of needlepoint!!!!

Victorian Play Date

Samantha dressed like a proper young lady even when she was playing. Her dress of blue and white check  had a big yoke and crisp white cuffs. The ruffly play pinafore was supposed to keep the dress clean and the matching hairbow was supposed to stay tied even when she was climbing trees or chasing bratty Eddie Ryland.   She looks sooo....sweet!!!!

Meet Our Newest Model!!!!!

When I saw this Cutie Pie on-line....I knew I had to have him...and then he was on sale.....gosh....I think it was fate!!!!  I've been playing around with doing a new line with a male doll, so that I can do some fun things with outfits to go along with the girls....Then he came along, and it was decided.  He looks so much like our son Matthew, as a little boy,  that we lost a few years ago....so I am naming him Matt!!!!  The new line will be "Boys will be Boys!!!!"  Stay tuned, I'm working on a set of Tidy Whities for him!!!!

Custom Elizabeth's Bed!

I had done Felicity's bed, and then someone wanted the set of both Felicity's and Elizabeth's.....so here is the finished bed.....it really came out cute!!!!  Shipping it was a bear...I'm gonna have to start charging more, as prices have really gone up since the last time I shipped....We also figured if we mad it so that there was some assembly, we could fit it into a smaller box.
