Introducing the Downton Abbey Collection

Finally, I know it has taken me forever since I announced I wanted to do this....but it has been a busy  few months!!!! I finally have the first outfit in the new Downton Abbey Collection done, and up on my Etsy Site!!!!!

When Kirsten heard that I was finally starting work on my Downton Abbey Collection...she begged to be the first model. I think she loves Downton Abbey almost as much as I do. Pleasant Company designed clothes, for girls of this era...but not the rich gowns that the adults wore....and I just had to dabble in this venue. This is a replication of one of Lady Mary's Tea Gowns. It is grey and white striped fabric, in an a-line gown, with a lace collar, and tiny white beads down the front. White stockings and shoes adorn her feet, and yes, those are white gloves. The outfit is finished off with a oval pearl necklace, and a straw hat with white roses. Here is the outfit I designed this one from....
I think I did a pretty good job of replicating it!!!!  Anyway, it has been fun!!!!

Miss Musketeer

See more of Kassy's outfits on my Etsy shop  www.etsy.com/shop/prairiewindgirls
Kassy, finally got another Steampunk outfit...she loves to time travel back to the 1600's, and the French Court, where she is taken with the Three Musketeers. Who says musketeers are boys? Kassy is as brave as they come, when she is all decked out in this royal ensemble. The underdress is a white satin and the jacket is a fine blue velor, a satin overlay with diamond accents and gold brocade trim. A white feather tops the dramatic hat, and gold crisscross ties accent the blue velor legwarmers. The outfit is finished off with a choker and sparkly gold slippers. She reminds me of a modern day pirate...where is her Airship????

Felicity's turn to show you her Today's Girl Outfit!!!!

See more of the Today's Girl Collection on my Etsy Shop  www.etsy.com/shop/prairiewindgirls
Felicity is all set to have friends over, in her After Photo Shoot Outfit called Come On Over Anytime.....Her Historical Costumes are usually so heavy and bulky, she likes to wear lightweight fabrics when she's not working....and this cute outfit, fits the bill. Set consists of a trendy t-shirt, with a sequined star....sparkle knit bubble skirt, black high-top sneakers, and a hair scrunchy.  While the skirt came out really cute...I won't be using that fabric again...it is so stretchy.....I had to keep going over seams!!!!

Miss Molly Does the Hulla

Find more Molly outfits on my Etsy shop  www.etsy.com/shop/prairiewindgirls

Could Molly get any cuter...Molly and her friends wanted to be glamorous hula dancers for Halloween, so they made their own costumes. Molly’s outfit included a green paper hula skirt and a big red sweater. She wore a fluffy yellow Hawaiian lei around her neck with a matching wristlet and flower for her hair. She decorated a sack for her treats and wore a mask to trick the neighbors. I hope she was able to fill her bag with treats!!!!!
