Finally Kit Get's Her Chance!!!!
It's 1934, and the Great Depression is ramping up. Kit's is dressed in a
lilac sweater set and floral linen skirt, with white cotton underwear
and white sandals Her cute blond hair is held back with a lilac
barrette with hearts.
I got Kit for Mother's Day this year, and just have not been able to get around to working on her meet outfit....I love this time...the Great Depression. It showed the voracity of the American people....it was also a very sad time, so ,many people's lives fell apart. I loved watching the old movies from this time, growing up!!!!

Fall Lacy Fancy Crochet Dress.....
I loved doing this pattern so much in summer colors, I decided to do one
in more Fall colors, when I came across this thread. Madison begged to
model it...so here she is. Dark tan, almost a brown, crochet, lacy
dress, with a rose ribbon at the waist, over a black slip, black tights
and cute black shoes consists of the outfit.Very elegant, yet perfect for a nine year old!!!!

Josefina's Meet Accessories!!!
More Josefina fashion on my Etsy Shop www.etsy.com/shop.prairiewindgirls |
Wrap Josefina’s long, fringed shawl around her shoulders. It’s
called a rebozo, and in 1824 girls wore one everywhere for added warmth
or to protect their faces from the summer sun. Fasten the garnet pendant around her neck—it came all the way from Mexico City. Her leather
pouch is the perfect place to tuck and embroidered hanky,
and any primroses she might pick. But watch out for Florecita, the flower-gobbling
goat!
I just love the fabric I found for the Rebozo....it is perfect...but I now have string everywhere in my studio!!!! She is just soo....sweet!
